Removing and installing door puller
Removing and installing door puller
Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Drill
t  Bit Ø 6.5 mm
t  Safety goggles
   
Removing
–  Remove the door trim → Chapter.
–  Remove the switch mount → Chapter.
–  Remove the armrest → Chapter.
–  Remove the lamp for the driver side door puller -Item 1- → Electrical system; Rep. gr.96.
–  Drill the door puller attachment points -arrows- off the door trim until the door puller just starts to become detached from the door trim.
  Caution
Take care not to damage the door trim when drilling.
–  Carefully release at each attachment point and detach the door puller -2-.

Installing
Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following:
–  Shorten the new door puller -1- to the dimension -a- at the plastic domes marked with -arrows-.
l  Dimension -a- = 2 mm

–  Insert the door puller in the door trim and secure the plastic domes -1- and -2- with bolts.
Notes on installation: For example tightening torques, component replacement → Chapter.
