Removing
–  Remove the wiper arms → Rep. gr.92.
–  Detach the seal -2-.
  Caution
Risk of damage to the scuttle panel trim.
Apply a small quantity of soap solution to the transition between the windscreen and scuttle panel trim and - starting at the edge of the windscreen - carefully lift the scuttle panel trim -1- vertically off the fastener at the windscreen -arrows-.
–  Detach the scuttle panel trim -1-. To do so, carefully pull the scuttle panel trim off the fastener at the windscreen -arrows- → Rep. gr.50.

–  Screw out the bolt -1- and unscrew the nuts -4, 5-.
–  Detach the fresh air intake grille -3- with drip rail -2-.
Installing
Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following:
–  Tighten the bolt -1- and nuts -4, 5- to 3.5 Nm.

–  Fit the scuttle panel trim → Rep. gr.50.
  Note
Water may flow into the fresh air intake duct if the plenum chamber cover -1- is damaged or not properly fitted. This may result in complaints about odours from the heater/air conditioner and/or moisture in the passenger compartment.
–  Fit the wiper arms → Electrical system; Rep. gr.27.
