Removing and installing clutch slave cylinder together with release bearing > < Exploded view - hydraulics (RHD)

1 - Clutch slave cylinder with release bearing
q   Slave cylinder and release bearing are one unit and can only be renewed together
q   Do not wash out bearing; wipe clean only
q   If bearing is noisy, renew together with slave cylinder
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
2 - Bolt
q   3x
q   Renew
q   Tighten bolts carefully in several small steps and in diagonal sequence; make sure that mounting lugs on slave cylinder do not break off
q   12 Nm for metal clutch slave cylinder
q   15 Nm for plastic clutch slave cylinder
3 - Retaining clip
q   To remove and install pipe, pull out retaining clip as far as it will go
4 - Pipe
q   To clutch master cylinder
q   Removing and installing → Chapter
5 - Seal
q   Different versions according to type of connection; for correct version refer to → Electronic parts catalogue
q   Renew if damaged
q   Push onto pipe connection
q   Lubricate with brake fluid before installing
