Checking gear oil level and filling up with gear oil
Checking gear oil level and filling up with gear oil
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Torque wrench -V.A.G 1331-
  W00-0427
t  Multi-point bit -3357-
l  For gear oil specification, refer to → Electronic parts catalogue.

–  Remove noise insulation -1- → General body repairs, exterior; Rep. gr.66.
  A10-11347
–  Remove gear oil inspection plug -arrow-.
Oil level is correct when gearbox oil is up to bottom lip of filler hole.
–  Screw in plug -arrow- with new seal.
–  Tighten plug -arrow- to specified torque → Fig..
Note the following when filling with new oil:
–  Remove plug -arrow-.
–  Fill up gear oil to bottom lip of filler hole.
–  Screw in plug -arrow- with new seal.
–  Tighten plug -arrow- to specified torque → Fig..
–  Install noise insulation → General body repairs, exterior; Rep. gr.66.
