Removing and installing coolant pipe (right-side)

Special tools and workshop equipment required

t	Hose clamps for hoses up to 25 mm -3094-

t	Drip tray for workshop hoist -VAS 6208-

t	Hose clip pliers -VAS 6362-

Removing

–	Remove noise insulation -1- → Rep. gr.66.

–	Place drip tray for workshop hoist -VAS 6208- beneath engine.

–	Clamp off coolant hoses using hose clamps, up to 25 mm -3094-, release hose clips -1 and 2- and disconnect hoses.

–	Unscrew bolts -arrows- and remove coolant pipe (right-side).

Installing

Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:

l	Tightening torques → Chapter „Housing for thermostat with rear coolant pipe - exploded view“

Note

Secure all hose connections with the correct type of hose clips (same as original equipment) → Electronic parts catalogue.

–	Install noise insulation → Rep. gr.50.

–	Check coolant level → Anchor.
