Removing and installing regulating flap control unitJ808
Removing and installing regulating flap control unit -J808-
–  Remove engine cover panel.
–  Unplug electrical connectors -1 and 3-.
   
–  Unclip coolant hose -2- from intake connecting pipe.

–  Detach hose -2- from activated charcoal filter solenoid valve 1 -N80-.
–  Pull activated charcoal filter solenoid valve 1 -N80--1- out of bracket.
–  Unclip hose -3- from intake connecting pipe.
–  Release spring-type clip -4- and slide it downwards.
–  Release spring-type clip -5- and disconnect intake hose from intake connecting pipe.

–  Unscrew bolt -1- from pressure pipe.

–  Unscrew all bolts -arrows- from intake connecting pipe.
–  Lift intake connecting pipe slightly and at the same time disconnect connection -1- and rear crankcase breather hose.
–  Disconnect intake connecting pipe from pressure pipe and take out intake connecting pipe upwards together with regulating flap control unit -J808-.
–  Disconnect intake connecting pipe to remove regulating flap control unit -J808-.

–  To do so, loosen bolts -arrows- on regulating flap control unit -J808-.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
t  Renew seals and gaskets.
t  Hose connections and hoses for charge air system must be free of oil and grease before assembly.
t  Secure all hose connections with the correct type of hose clips (same as original equipment).
l  Tightening torques → Chapter „Part I: Intake manifold - exploded view“
  Note
  A24-10990
Lug -1- must engage in recess -2- of air pipe.
If a new regulating flap control unit -J808- has been installed:
–  Erase learnt values and adapt engine control unit -J623- to regulating flap control unit -J808- using → Vehicle diagnostic tester.
