Counterhold track rod ball joint with a spanner when loosening and tightening lock nut -1-. |
–
| Adjust toe by turning left and/or right track rod -arrow-. |
Note t
| Make sure boot on steering box is not damaged or twisted. Twisted rubber boots wear out quickly. |
t
| The vehicle must be standing on the ground and the track rod ball joint must be parallel with the contact surface on the steering arm of the wheel bearing housing when tightening the lock nuts on the track rod. |
–
| Check toe values again. |
It is possible that the value will change slightly when lock nut -1- is tightened. |
However, the adjustment is correct if the measured toe value is still inside the tolerance. |
