Removing and installing headlight housing
Removing and installing headlight housing
  WARNING
High voltage! Danger to life!
Safety precautions when handling gas discharge bulbs → Electrical system; General information; Rep. gr.94.
   
Removing
–  Disconnect earth cable from battery with ignition switched off → Chapter.
–  Slacken off locking bolt -4- and unscrew it two turns from bracket -5- for headlight housing.
–  Loosen bolt -3-.
–  Unplug electrical connector -2-.
–  Pull headlight housing -1- forwards out of guide rails on bracket.

Installing
l  Tightening torque → Chapter
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
–  When inserting headlight housing -3- in brackets -1, 2-, make sure that mountings on headlight housing engage in guide rails on brackets -arrows-.
l  Do not use force when inserting headlight and make sure it engages smoothly.

–  When inserting headlight -4-, breather -3- for headlight housing must be pushed evenly onto mounting -2- for breather hose -1-.

–  Tighten locking bolts -1, 3- and bolt -2-.
–  Connect battery. Steps required → Anchor.
