Removing and installing tail light cluster

Special tools and workshop equipment required

Removing
–  Turn light switch to position „0“.
  Note
Mask the bottom area around the tail light with a soft cloth -1- to protect the paintwork.
–  Open rear lid.
–  Cut through seal using a plastic thread -2- and some soap solution.
–  Release retaining spring -arrow- at bottom of tail light -3- using removal lever -80 - 200- and detach tail light.
–  Unplug electrical connector.

Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
–  Clean bonding surface on body and tail light with cleaning fluid -D 009 401 04-.
–  Pull protective film -1- off adhesive tape.
–  Fit tail light -3- in body -2- in parallel position and press on until retaining springs engage audibly.
  Note
After pressing on tail light, it is no longer possible to adjust its installation position.
