WARNING When removing window glass, ALWAYS wear protective goggles and leather gloves. |

Removing undamaged window |

| Trim for A-pillar is removed. |

| Mask area all around edges of window with fabric-backed adhesive tape -1- to prevent damage to paintwork. |

| To improve access to the window, first remove the trim surrounding the window using a blade. |

| Position cutting thread around side window as shown. |
–
| Insert ends of cutting thread (top and bottom) in two pull handles included with cutting tool -V.A.G 1351-. |

| First pull cutting thread -2- through adhesive in direction of arrow -a-. |
–
| Then pull cutting thread through adhesive on A-pillar, moving it in direction of arrow -b-. |
–
| Finally pull cutting thread from bottom to top in direction of arrow -c- and cut out the complete window. |
Note Alternatively, you can use electric cutter -V.A.G 1561 A- and blade (U-shaped) -V.A.G 1561/3- to cut out the side window. |
