Checking seat belts
  WARNING
Whenever an accident has occurred, seat belt system is to be subjected to a systematic examination. If the test items reveal damage, customers are to be made aware of the need for belt replacement.
Test items:
t  Checking webbing
t  Checking inertia reel (locking action)
t  Visual inspection of buckle
t  Checking operation of buckle
t  Checking guide fittings and latch plate
t  Checking attachment components and anchorage points
   
t  Checking belt force limiter
–  Push up cover -2-.
–  Tear seam -1- must not be ripped.
  Note
If customers refuse to have damaged seat belts replaced, an appropriate note to this effect is to be made in the Service booklet.
