Note| Establish radio code before disconnecting battery. |
| 1 - | Airbag control unit |
| q | Disconnect battery earth strap/cable. |
| q | Remove rear centre console → Chapter. |
| q | Release catch -4- at connector -3-. |
| q | Pull connector -3- out of control unit -1-. |
| q | Unscrew bolts -2- (3x). |
| q | Detach control unit. |
| 2 - | Bolts (3x) |
| q | Tightening torque 7 Nm |
| 3 - | Connector |
| 4 - | Catch |
Note| t | Re-encode following control unit replacement. |
| t | After connecting battery, remember to check vehicle equipment (radio, clock, electric window lifters,...). → Rep. Gr.27 |
| t | If airbag warning lamp (K75) indicates a fault following installation, use vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system -VAS 5051 A- to erase and re-interrogate fault memory. |
