Removing and Replacing Lumbar Support Motor for Front Seats - Seat Frame Repair

Removing and installing lumbar support motor
   
Removing and installing lumbar support motor
1 - Lumbar support
q   Remove seat → Chapter.
q   Detach backrest padding → Chapter.
q   Drill out rivets on outer side of backrest at lumbar support motor -5-.
q   Unplug connector -4- at lumbar support motor -5-.
q   Disengage Bowden cable -9- at lumbar support → Fig.
2 - Lower securing lugs (2x)
3 - Small springs (2x)
4 - Lumbar support motor connector
5 - Lumbar support motor
6 - Large springs (2x)
7 - Longitudinal rods
8 - Retainers (2x)
9 - Bowden cable
10 - Upper securing lugs (2x)

   
Bowden cable at lumbar support
–  Squeeze lumbar support -5- to slacken off cable -2-.
–  Disengage stud -1- at lumbar support -5-.
–  Disengage cable -2- at guide roller -3-.
–  Pull Bowden cable -4- out of lumbar support -5-.
