| q | Remove seat → Chapter. |
| q | Remove seat side trim → Chapter. |
| q | Remove airbag cable → Chapter. |
| q | Remove holder for seat side trim → Chapter. |
| q | Remove fitting trim → Chapter. |
| q | Unscrew bolts -2- (2x). |
| q | Unscrew bolts -3- (4x). |
| q | Unscrew bolts -4- (2x). |
| q | Detach seat pan -1-. |
| q | On installing holder for connector mount -6-, always use hole -7- on side airbag side. |
| 2 - | Bolts (2x) |
| q | Tightening torque 24 Nm |
| q | To unscrew, heat bolt head for approx. 5 min. with hot air blower -V.A.G 1416/- set to 150° C. Use metal panel to protect cover. |
| q | Slacken off bolt, applying max. 35 Nm with torque wrench. |
| q | If bolt -2- cannot be slackened off, drill into bolt -2- with 5 mm bit and slacken off by drilling anti-clockwise. |
