| t | Removing |
| – | Use awl -V.A.G 1636/- or slotted screwdriver to press wire frame -2- in direction of arrow -A- out of front floor attachments -3- (4x). At the same time, swivel up front edge of rear seat bench in direction of arrow -B-. |
| – | Press rear seat bench in direction of arrow -C- and then in direction of arrow -D- and in doing so disengage wire frame -2- from retainer -4-. |
| – | Take rear seat bench out of vehicle. |

| – | Position rear seat bench in vehicle. |
| – | Engage wire frame -2- in retainer -4-. |
| – | Check position of spiral strips at front of wire frame. To prevent noise, spiral strips must be located in area of front floor attachments -3- → Fig. |
| – | Press from above onto front edge of rear seat bench until wire frame -2- is heard to engage in front floor attachments -3- (4x). |
