Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following: |
Note t
The removed reservoir contains refrigerant oil which has to be returned to the refrigerant circuit (with a new reservoir)
t
The adjustment of the quantity of oil depends on the nature of the complaint.
t
If the reservoir has become damaged in an accident, for example, (whereby no refrigerant has escaped, and there is no moisture or dirt ingress into the refrigerant circuit), the air conditioner can be overhauled by simply weighing the old and new reservoirs, without having to go to the trouble of costly repairs - top up the refrigerant oil until it matches the weight of the reservoir which has been removed.
t
If an indeterminate amount of refrigerant oil has escaped or dirt and moisture have ingressed into the refrigerant circuit, it must be cleaned using compressed air and nitrogen. → Air conditioner - with refrigerant R134a
