Prerequisite

t	All the fuses are OK → ”Current Flow Diagrams, Electrical Fault-Finding and Fitting Locations”

t	The adapter cables -V.A.G 1598/11- and adapters -V.A.G 1598/12- on the test box are connected to the unplugged connections on the operating and display unit for air conditioner/Climatronic -E87-.

–	Set the vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system -VAS 5051- to “measuring instrument” mode.

–	On the vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system -VAS 5051-, select the type of measuring instrument required in the different testing steps by pressing the appropriate button on the vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system -VAS 5051- display.
