Reading the measured value block
Reading the measured value block
  Note
t  In order to check the speed signal after switching on the ignition, move the vehicle a few metres at or above walking speed (above 5 km/h).
t  Fitting locations of the actuated components → Chapter.
–  With the ignition off, connect the vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system -VAS 5051- by the diagnostic cable -VAS 5051/5A-, for example, to the 16-pin diagnostic socket in the vehicle → Chapter.
–  Switch on the ignition or start the engine.
–  Set the operating and display unit for air conditioner/Climatronic -E87- to “Auto” mode.
–  Use the “address word” 08 to select the electronic climate/heater control → Chapter.
   
Indicated on the display of the vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system -VAS 5051-:
–  Interrogate the fault memory → Chapter.
–  Select the function “ 08 - Reading the measured value block”.

Indicated on the display of the vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system -VAS 5051-:
t  The prompt for entering a display group appears in display zone -1-.
t  An input keypad appears in display zone -2-.
–  Use the input keypad to enter the desired display group in display zone -2- (e.g. “001” or “01” for “display group number 001”) → Chapter (List of available display group numbers) and confirm by pressing Q.

Indicated on the display of the vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system -VAS 5051-:
t  The display group selected appears in display zone -1-.
t  The values for the four display zones appear in display zone -2-:
–  The value for display zone “1” appears on the first line.
–  The values for each of the display zones appear in the second, third and fourth lines.
–  This line remains blank if a display zone is not used.

t  Press -3- to switch to a different display group.
t  Press -4- to switch to a different function (e.g. from “Read measured value block” to “Basic setting” and back again).
–  Enter desired display group number → Chapter (List of available display group numbers).
