Bleeding clutch system > < Removing and installing clutch master cylinder

Removing and installing clutch slave cylinder
Removing
–  First check whether a coded radio is fitted. If this is the case obtain the anti-theft coding.
–  With the ignition switched off, disconnect battery earth strap.
   
–  Pull locking mechanism on gear selector cable and gate selector cable forwards -arrow 1- onto stop and then turn to left -arrow 2- to lock.
–  Pull securing clip -arrow 3- off relay lever -A- and remove relay lever.
–  Remove gearbox selector lever -B- by removing nut -arrow 4-.

–  Pull the hose/pipe assembly clip -A- out of the clutch slave cylinder up to the stop.
–  Pull pipe/hose assembly -B- out of clutch slave cylinder and seal.
–  Remove bolts for clutch slave cylinder -arrows-.
–  Remove clutch slave cylinder.
Installing
Installation is carried out in reverse sequence; note the following:
–  Lubricate end of plunger with MoS2 grease.

–  Bolt clutch slave cylinder to gearbox -arrows-.
–  Press retaining clip -A- in as far as it will go.
–  Push pipe -B- into clutch slave cylinder until it engages audibly.
–  Fit selector components to gearbox.
–  After installing clutch slave cylinder, bleed clutch system → Chapter.
Adjusting selector mechanism → Chapter.
Tightening torques
  A30-0062
Clutch slave cylinder to gearbox23 Nm
Gearbox selector lever to gearbox20 Nm 1)
l  1) Renew nut
