Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Locking pin -T10060 A- or -T10060-
  W00-10235
Removing
–  Remove sump → Chapter.
–  Unscrew bolts -arrows-.
–  Release the 5 retaining tabs and remove baffle plate.

–  Press down chain tensioner -arrow- and lock with locking pin -T10060 A- or -T10060-.
  Caution
t  Do not remove oil pump sprocket from chain when detaching oil pump.
t  Make sure that the chain remains in position on the chain sprocket. Otherwise the position of the balance shaft in relation to the crankshaft must be re-adjusted → Anchor.
–  Remove bolt -1-.
–  Detach chain sprocket from oil pump and position it to rest in chain.
–  Unscrew bolts -2 … 4- and remove oil pump.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:

Renew O-ring.
–  Insert dowel sleeves → Item and → Item at top of oil pump.
l  Chain sprocket can only be fitted in one position on oil pump shaft.
–  Fit baffle plate with new O-ring.
–  Install sump → Chapter.
Tightening torques

l  1) Renew bolt.
l  2) 90° = one quarter turn.
