Removing and installing coolant pump
Removing and installing coolant pump
Removing
–  Drain off coolant → Chapter.
–  Remove toothed belt: toothed belt drive with hydraulically damped tensioning roller → Chapter, toothed belt drive with friction-damped tensioning roller → Chapter.
   
–  Remove bolts -1- and detach coolant pump -2-.
–  Remove O-ring -3-.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:

Renew O-ring.
–  Clean and smoothen sealing surface for O-ring as required.
–  Lubricate new O-ring -3- with coolant additive “G12+”.
–  Fit coolant pump -2-.
l  Installation position: Sealing plug in housing faces downwards.
–  Install toothed belt (adjust valve timing): toothed belt drive with hydraulically damped tensioning roller → Anchor, toothed belt drive with friction-damped tensioning roller → Anchor.
–  Fill cooling system → Anchor.
