Removing and installing dual-mass flywheel for 3-cylinder TDI engine

Removing and installing dual-mass flywheel
Removing and installing dual-mass flywheel
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Counterhold tool -3386-
Removing
l  Engine or gearbox removed.
–  Remove clutch pressure plate → Rep. Gr.30.
–  Mark installation position of dual-mass flywheel on crankshaft.
  Note
  W00-0179
It must be possible to move counterhold tool -3386- axially.
–  Counterhold tool can be moved axially after removing circlip -arrow-.
–  Attach counterhold tool -3386- in order to loosen bolts.
–  Unbolt dual-mass flywheel.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:

Renew bolts for dual-mass flywheel.
–  Reverse position of counterhold tool -3386- in order to tighten bolts.
–  Install clutch pressure plate → Rep. Gr.30.
Tightening torque
  N30-0250

Bolt length 19.5 mm60 + 90° 1)2)
l  1) Renew bolts.
l  2) 90° = one quarter turn.
