t  Oil seal extractor -T10018-

Procedure
l  Cylinder head installed.
–  Remove inlet camshaft sprocket with camshaft adjuster and exhaust camshaft sprocket → Chapter.
–  Screw inner section of oil seal extractor -T10018- two turns out of outer section (approx. 3 mm) and lock with knurled screw.
–  Oil threaded head of oil seal extractor.
–  Screw oil seal extractor -T10018- into oil seal as far as possible, applying firm pressure.
–  Loosen knurled screw and turn inner section against camshaft until oil seal is pulled out.
–  Clamp flats of oil seal extractor in vice and use pliers to remove oil seal.
–  Clean contact surface and sealing surface for oil seal.

–  Fit guide sleeve -T10015/2- onto camshaft journal.
  Note
Do not lubricate sealing lip and outer rim of oil seal before pressing in.
–  Slide oil seal over guide sleeve.
–  Press oil seal in onto stop using press sleeve -T10015/1- and bolt -T10015/3-.
–  Install inlet camshaft sprocket with camshaft adjuster and exhaust camshaft sprocket → Chapter.
