▪ Fault memory interrogated and no fault stored in fault memory of ABS with EDL control unit -J104
▪ Ignition off
▪ Multi-pin connector attached to ABS with EDL control unit -J104 and engaged
Switch on ignition

ABS warning lamp -K47 lights for 2 seconds and goes out again

- If ABS warning lamp does not light:
Check for short to earth in vehicle electrical system voltage and wiring from contact T47/22 of ABS with EDL control unit -J104 to dash panel insert
=> Current Flow Diagrams, Electrical Fault-finding and Fitting Locations binder

- Fault in dash panel insert

Functional test: Brake system warning lamp -K118

- Check for short to earth in wiring from contact 29 (green connector) in dash panel insert to brake fluid warning contact

- Fault in dash panel insert

- Check for open circuit and short to positive in wiring from contact T47/24 (control unit) to contact 32, green connector (dash panel insert)

- If traction control system warning lamp -K86 is permanently lit:
Check for short to earth in wiring from contact T47/24 (control unit) to contact 32, green connector (dash panel insert)
=> Current Flow Diagrams, Electrical Fault-finding and Fitting Locations binder

- Fault in dash panel insert
