Test table (test steps 1 - 7)

Select measuring range: Voltage measurement (20 V DC)

2		Power supply for power steering control unit -J500 (term. 15)	▪ Ignition off Unplug connector 2 from control unit -J500 ▪ Ignition on Check power supply (term. 15) at connector between contact 4 and earth	10.0 -14.5 V	=> Current Flow Diagrams, Electrical Fault-finding and Fitting Locations binder

Select measuring range: Voltage measurement (20 V DC)

4	Wiring	▪ Ignition off ▪ Select resistance measuring range ▪ (200 ω)	max.1.5 ω	- Unplug connector at control unit -J500 Check for open circuit or short to earth/positive in wiring => Current Flow Diagrams, Electrical Fault-finding and Fitting Locations binder
5	Function of Servotronic warning lamp -K92	▪ Fault memory interrogated and no fault stored in fault memory of power steering control unit -J500 ▪ Check fuse Si 38 ▪ Check fuse Si C		- Servotronic warning lamp lights => Current Flow Diagrams, Electrical Fault-finding and Fitting Locations binder

		▪ Select 20 M ω measuring range Take out fuse S 40 Check for short to positive/earth in wiring	∞ ω	Use current flow diagram to repair wiring => Current Flow Diagrams, Electrical Fault-finding and Fitting Locations binder

Select measuring range: Current measurement (50A) V.A.S. 5051
