Unplugging connector at coolant temperature gauge sender G2 / coolant temperature sender G62 - vehicles with 1.4 l MPI engine > < Terminal assignment on fuel gauge sender G

Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Protective cover for bonnet Audi A2 -VAS 6011-

Preliminary work:
–  Wash and rub dry the outside of the bonnet.
–  Release the service flap from inside.
–  Release the bonnet -arrows- and pull it forwards slightly.

–  Fit the protective cover -VAS 6011- over the bonnet.
  Note
  A10-0685
Do not stand the bonnet on end.
–  Detach the bonnet and set it down on the protective cover -VAS 6011-.
–  Unplug the connector at the coolant temperature gauge sender -G2-:
t  Vehicles with 1.4 l MPI engine → Chapter
t  Vehicles with 1.6 l FSI engine → Chapter
t  Vehicles with 1.2 l TDI engine → Chapter
t  Vehicles with 1.4 l TDI engine → Chapter

Assignment of 4-pin connector at coolant temperature gauge sender -G2-/coolant temperature sender -G62-
1 - Wiring between coolant temperature gauge sender -G2- and dash panel insert (temperature gauge)
2 - Earth from coolant temperature gauge sender -G2- (sender earth)
3 - Earth from coolant temperature sender -G62- (sender earth)
4 - Signal wire from coolant temperature sender -G62-
