Initialisation must be performed: |

During initialisation, data is exchanged between the telematics control unit and the service centre. |
Initialisation can only be performed following receipt of the reply to the release fax and release of the SIM card. |

| Adequate reception of D2 mobile radio telephone network |

| Reception of at least 4 GPS satellites |

| Second mobile radio telephone card not fitted in handset |
“Service mode” appears in display. |

| Keep pressing Navi key until “Security code” appears in display. |

| Enter security code (always “12345”) via keypad and confirm entry by pressing Navi key. |
Security code should be stored. |

| Then enter number of telematics centre: “49 172 227 022 0” and confirm entry with Navi key. |

| Enter number of telematics provider: “2002” and confirm entry with Navi key. |
Unit initialisation now commences (approx. 3 to 6 minutes). |
“New vehicle data received” then appears in display. |

| Confirm display by pressing Navi key. |
“Telematics data received” appears in display. |

| Confirm display by pressing Navi key. |
The vehicle data transmitted can then be compared with the entries on the release fax. |

| Press arrow keys to scroll through this menu. Press C key to return to first menu level. |
This completes initialisation procedure. |
Dynamic navigation must be activated in the case of vehicles with navigation systems RNS 4.1 and BNS 4.0: |
