Removing and installing telephone aerialR65 (glass roof panel)

Removing and installing telephone aerial -R65- (glass roof panel)

Use is made on vehicles with glass sunroof of a “glass bonding aerial”.

Telephone aerial -R65- consists of:

1 -

Cap

2 -	Top part of aerial with self-adhesive foil

3 -	Bottom part of aerial (interface box) with self-adhesive foil and connection for aerial wire

–	Switch off all electrical equipment.

–	Remove ignition key.

Removing:

–	Remove rear interior light → General body repairs, interior; Rep. Gr.69.

–	Unplug connector at bottom part of aerial.

–	Use suitable tool to prise off bottom and top part of aerial.

–	Mark position of top and bottom part.

–	Clean bonding surfaces with adhesive remover D 002 000 10 or cleaning agent D 009 004 04.

Installing:

–	Remove backing from bonding surfaces of top and bottom part.

–	Press top part -2- and bottom part -3- onto marked position on glass panel. Apply pressure for approx. 5 seconds.

–	Whilst twisting gently, push cap -1- onto top part of aerial -2- until it is firmly attached.

–	Plug in connector.
