Final control diagnosis
Final control diagnosis
t  Final control diagnosis can only be performed with vehicle stationary and engine not running.
t  If final control diagnosis detects a fault, locate and eliminate cause of trouble if necessary.
Procedure
–  Start radio self-diagnosis → Chapter.
   
Indicated on display:
–  Press keys 0 and 3 (“Final control diagnosis”).

–  Confirm entry by pressing Q key.

All loudspeakers are briefly energised (scarcely audible).

  Note
On vehicles with Nav II-D, the display changes between normal and inverse every 4 seconds.

All pixels light up on radio display.

Final control diagnosis               ->
Segment test
Indicated on display:
A light block measuring 4x4 pixels appears in centre of radio display. “Diagnosis” display is blanked out.
  Note
Pixel faults are not stored in fault memory.
–  Press → key.
