Adapting CAN bus users - Adaption channel 07

Control units fitted must be set in adaption channel 07. The navigation system control unit monitors CAN bus communication.

CAN bus communication status can also be indicated on navigation system display by simultaneously pressing AS and V keys.

Indicated on display of navigation system II-D:

FM1	Aerial			TP
Card reader		:	Not encoded
TV tuner		:	Ok
Gateway		:	No link
Telematics system		:	Ok
Multi-function steering wheel		:	Ok
VCS		:	Not encoded
Dash panel insert		:	Ok
Communication status			Back to RETURN

t	Not encoded: Unit not fitted or fitted but not encoded

t	No link: Unit encoded but not fitted

t	Terminal 15 ON: Unit encoded but no terminal 15 signal (ignition not switched on)

Indicated on display:

–	Press keys 0 and 7 (“Channel 7”).

Note

An incorrect entry can be corrected after pressing C key.

–	Confirm entry by pressing Q key.

Adaption

Enter channel number XX

Indicated on display:

Channel selected and relevant configuration are displayed on top line (fitting list → Anchor).

–	Press → key.

Channel 7     Adaption      15        ->

                          <-1 3->

Indicated on display:

–	Enter new adaption value (e.g. 00006) (fitting list → Anchor).

–	Confirm entry by pressing Q key.

Indicated on display:

–	Press → key.

Indicated on display:

–	Confirm entry by pressing Q key.

Indicated on display:

–	Press keys 0 and 6 (“End of output”).

–	Confirm entry by pressing Q key.
