Encoding control unit
Encoding control unit
This function can be used to encode telematics system as follows:
t  Vehicle model
t  Voice control/multi-function steering wheel
t  Navigation system
t  Radio configuration
  Note
In contrast to the codes of other control units, the telematics control unit code displayed has 7 digits.
Procedure
–  Start telematics system self-diagnosis → Chapter.
   
Indicated on display:
–  Press keys 0 and 7 (“Encoding control unit”).

–  Confirm entry by pressing Q key.

–  Enter code number in line with encoding table → Chapter.

t  0 = Not used, always 0
t  Vehicle model: 4 = A2
t  Voice control/multi-function steering wheel: 1 = without voice control and with multi-function steering wheel
t  Navigation system: 2 = Nav II-D
t  Radio system: 3 = radio system with CAN bus and BOSE
  
Encoding control unit
Enter code number  XXXXX     (0-32000)
Control unit identification and code entered (0004123) appear on display.
–  Terminate encoding by pressing → key.
