Vehicles with automatic transmission:

Version I: Remove selector lever cover.

-

Version II: Remove selector lever boot and cover.

All:
-

Remove bolts - 3 - (qty. 2)

-

Remove omega clips - 4 -.

-

Remove lining mat - 2 -.

Installing
Maintain the following assembly sequence:
-

Insert lining mat - 2 -.

-

Position omega clip installation position - 4 -.

-

Install screws - 3 - and tighten to specified torque.

-

Grab handle installed.

-

Clip in storage compartment trim - 6 -.

-

Install heater controls or install Climatronic Control Module J255 (A/C control head).

-

Clip in cover with selector lever boot.

Screws - 3.5 Nm

Maintain installation position as shown in illustration

Storage compartment trim

Cover with selector lever boot, removing and installing

-

Open ashtray in center console.

-

Remove cover - 1 - with selector lever boot - 2 - upward.

Installation is reverse of removal.

Open ashtray in center console.

-

Remove selector lever cover upward - arrows -.

Installation is reverse of removal.
