Front Exhaust Pipe with Catalytic Converters and Front Muffler

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Spring-type clip pliers (VAS 5024 A)

Removing

Remove the engine cover and air filter. See: Engine/Intake Manifold

Disconnect electrical connector - arrow - for Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) (G39) and Oxygen Sensor (O2S) Heater (Z19) and free up the
wiring.

Remove accessible nuts - arrows - for front exhaust pipe/turbocharger from above.

Remove right vehicle underbody cover - arrows -.
