Fluid Reservoir, Removing And Installing 

NOTE: 

-

Fluid reservoir -C- and condenser -B- are available in different versions (one or two mounting bolts -D- and -E- for fluid reservoir). Parts Catalog

If fluid reservoir is secured by two bolts, bolt -E- on front end modules -A- on which there is no opening -F- (introduction not yet finalized) either
can be replaced only when condenser has been removed or make a drilling (diameter approximately 14 mm) in front end (proceed carefully when
doing this, so that cooler and/or condenser are not damaged when drilling).

Removed fluid reservoir contains refrigerant oil which must be restored to the refrigerant circuit (with new fluid reservoir). The adaptation of the
oil capacity depends on the type of report:

If for example the fluid reservoir was damaged due to a vehicle accident (no refrigerant leaked out, no moisture and no dirt penetrated into
refrigerant circuit), let refrigerant oil flow out of the removed fluid reservoir and add the drained quantity of refrigerant oil plus 10 cu.cm of fresh
refrigerant oil to the refrigerant circuit (e. g. condenser), this services the refrigerant circuit without extensive repair work.

If an undefined amount of refrigerant oil escaped or dirt and moisture entered the system, refrigerant circuit must be cleaned.

Removing

Discharge A/C refrigerant system

-

Remove front bumper.

-

Remove bolts -D- and -E- (bolt -E- not always present), tightening torque 10 Nm.

Remove bolts -B- (tightening torque 10 Nm).

Slide bracket -C- out of mount of condenser -E- downward -arrows-

-

Pull fluid reservoir -D- upward out of condenser -E- -arrow-

-

Seal open connections (against dirt and moisture penetration).
