‹› Before removing filter housing from transmission, tip it slightly in its seating. This allows oil to flow back into transmission from filter housing.

Slowly lift the transmission fluid filter upward and off.

‹› There is an O-ring in the filter suction collar. Make sure the O-ring does not remain stuck in the transmission (remove the old O-ring if necessary). 

 Installing

Install in reverse sequence; note the following points:

Replace transmission fluid filter.

Coat O-ring in the intake collar on the new filter with transmission fluid before inserting it into the transmission.

Install transmission fluid filter with the seat facing downward -  arrow -.

-

Coat O-ring on the filter housing with transmission fluid and install the filter housing.
