Separate Shift Lever Boot From Shift Knob

Separate Shift Lever Boot from Shift Knob

Remove the shift knob and the shift lever boot. Refer to => [ Shift Knob with Shift Lever Boot ] See: Shift Knob with Shift Lever Boot.

Remove the shift lever boot frame from the center console cover -  arrows -.

-

Score the connecting piece at the point marked by the -  arrow - using a sharp knife.

Then bend connecting piece open, spread it apart and remove it. 

Assembling

Install in reverse sequence; note the following points:

Attach the shift lever boot with the new connecting piece -  arrow - to the shift knob.
