Front Window Frame and Window Regulator

Window Frame And Window Regulator, Removing And Installing

NOTE:  Disconnect battery before disassembling window frame or door.

Window frame

CAUTION:  A sensor for side airbag is located on inside of door - arrow -, observe safety precautions for airbag.

-

Removing:

-

Remove door trim.

-

Disconnect electrical harness connectors.

-

Remove window regulator motor

-

Remove bolts - 4 -;- 6 -;- 9 - and - 10 -.

-

Remove bolts - 7 - from window regulator at bottom.

-

Remove bolts - 8 - at top of window frame and lift window frame with window regulator upward and out of door.

-

Installation:

-

Lower window into window frame half way before installing.

-

Insert window frame and window regulator into door from above.

-

Knock in the upper profile halves of door-side seal into window frame at top.

NOTE:  Window frame can be adapted to the door by loosening the longitudinal adjustment screw - a -.

-

Loosely screw in mounting bolts in the sequence - 4 -;- 10 -;- 6 - and - 9 -.

-

Tighten collared shoulder bolts - 4 - and - 10 - hand tight.

-

Lightly press window frame - 1 - inward at top.

-

Tighten collared shoulder bolts - 4 - and - 10 - to 32 Nm.

-

Unscrew adjustment screws for longitudinal adjustment - arrow c - and for inclination - arrow b - to stop using an Allen wrench (width
across flats 9 mm).

-

Tighten bolts - 6 - and - 9 - to 32 Nm.
