Ultrasonic interior monitor self-diagnosis
Functional test of interior monitor
-
‒ Open side window approx. 10 cm.
-
‒ Switch off ignition and remove ignition key.
-
‒ Close all doors.
-
‒ Lock vehicle thus activating anti-theft alarm and interior monitor.

‒ Wait 30 seconds until warning lamp in door starts to flash slowly every 2 seconds (f = 0.5 Hz).

‒ Move your hand through the open window and near to the sensor.

‒ Alarm is triggered if interior monitor is functioning properly.An entry is made in the fault memory of the central locking control unit "1370; Alarm from interior monitor" and in the ultrasonic sensors control unit "Alarm from sensor for ATW; front left, front right, rear left, rear right".

‒ Unlock vehicle and thus deactivate alarm.

‒ The faults in the fault memory of the relevant control unit must be read out and erased.
