Note:

Gas-filled struts must be installed before adjusting new tailgate.

• ‒ → Slightly tighten striker -1- with nuts -2-.

• ‒ → Slightly tighten adjusting stop at bottom -1- (on rear panel trim) with hexagon bolt -2-.

• ‒ → Loosen clamping screw -2- and pull out adjusting stop slightly.
• ‒ Close tailgate -4- and move to flush position; tailgate lock should engage in second stop in striker.
• ‒ Now set adjusting stops -3- in correct position.
• ‒ Open tailgate and tighten clamping screw -2- to 2 Nm.

•     1 -    Blind rivet

• ‒ Close tailgate.

• ‒ → Use feeler gauge to set adjusting stop -1- from inside such that distance from rear panel trim is 1 mm.

• ‒ Tightening torque for hexagon bolt: 8 Nm.
• ‒ Check joint dimensions in line with table
