Removing and installing window lifter motor > < Rear door
General Body Assembly Exterior (Repair groups 50, 55, 57, 58, 60, 63, 64, 66)
Rear door
Removing and installing rear door and door subframe
  • Combi bolt
    • ◆ 30 Nm
  • Rear door
  • Shim plate
    • ◆ Install as required.
    • ◆ Note the number and thickness of the bases before installation and install the same bases in the same places.
  • Door subframe
    • ◆ Removal:
    • ‒ Removing door trim.

    • ‒ Remove bolts -1- and -5-.
    • ‒ Lift out door subframe.
    • ‒ Detach Bowden cable for door locking .
    • ‒ Disengage bellows at B-pillar and disconnect electrical wiring and pneumatic lines.
    • ◆ Installation:

Note:

Door shell -2- must already be adjusted .

    • ‒ Install in reverse order.
    • ‒ Insert door subframe in door shell and screw on loosely with bolts -1- and -5- with adjusting wedge -4-.
    • ‒ Bolts -1- and -5- must be tightened in sequence a; b; c; d.
    • ◆ Adjusting:
    • ‒ Adjusting =>Page58-23.

  • Adjuster wedge

Note:

Adjuster wedge must always be fitted.

    • ◆ Angle of door can be adjusted in C-pillar area by shifting adjuster wedge -4- .
  • Bolt (2x)
    • ◆ Tightening torque 30 Nm.
  • Bowden cable
    • ◆ Inserting in door lock => Page 58-6.
