Removing and installing seat cover and upholstery
  • ◆ Removing
    • ‒ Removing seat
      up to 01. 1999
    • ‒ Remove backrest => Page 72-20
    • ‒ Remove drawer frame => Page 72-29
    • ‒ Unclip (2x) connector -2- for seat heating from bracket.
    • ‒ Lever fabric fastening strip out of guide slot.
    • ‒ Lift up cover -1- and cut staples -A-.
  • ◆ Installing
    • ‒ Use stapling tool V.A.G 1634 to fit new staples.

    • ‒ When fitting, staple transverse rods first, then longitudinal rods.

    • ‒ Remove upholstery.
  • Seat heating
    • ‒ Removing and installing seat heating in vehicles without side airbag =>Fig. 2
    • ◆ For vehicles with side airbag the seat heating is offered as spare part only in connection with sensor mat and seat upholstery.
