Attention:
Interchanging brake pipe connections will result in ESP system malfunction.
  • ‒ Perform final control diagnosis after attaching brake pipes to hydraulic unit.

=> Running Gear, Self-diagnosis; Repair Group 01

Note:

Final control diagnosis can be used to establish whether pipe connections have been interchanged.

  • Cap nut, 20 Nm
 
A45-0145
  • TORX socket-head bolt, 4 Nm
  • Brake pipe
    • ◆ Hydraulic unit to rear left brake caliper
  • TORX socket-head bolt, 4 Nm
  • Brake pipe
    • ◆ Hydraulic unit to rear right brake caliper
  • ABS hydraulic unit -N55
    • ◆ Fitting location: On left of engine compartment
  • Brake pipe
    • ◆ Brake master cylinder/primary piston circuit to hydraulic unit
  • Brake pipe
    • ◆ Hydraulic unit to front left brake caliper
  • Brake pipe
    • ◆ Hydraulic unit to front right brake caliper

    • ◆ Brake master cylinder/secondary piston circuit to hydraulic unit
  • ABS with EDL control unit -J104
    • ◆ Fitting location: On left of engine compartment
    • ◆ Control unit is bolted to hydraulic unit
  • Cap nut, 20 Nm
  • Bracket
  • Bolt, 8 Nm
