Note:

Switch is only to be fitted once so as to ensure a firm fit.

Removing

• ‒ Remove driver's storage compartment.

=> General Body Repairs, Interior; Repair Group 68; Storage compartments/covers and trim panels; Removing driver's storage compartment

• ‒ Unplug connector.
• ‒ → Turn brake light switch -1- anti-clockwise through 90° and remove.

Installing

Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following:

• ‒ Pull out plunger of brake light switch as far as it will go.
• ‒ Press down brake pedal as far as possible by hand.
• ‒ → Insert switch in assembly opening and secure by turning clockwise through 90° -arrows-.
• ‒ Release brake pedal.
• ‒ Check operation of brake lights both with brake pedal pressed and at rest.
