Sequence of operations

• ‒ Remove driver's storage compartment.

=> General Body Repairs, Interior; Repair Group 68; Storage compartments/covers and trim panels; Removing driver's storage compartment

• ‒ → Unplug connectors -arrows- at senders -G200/-G202.
• ‒ Screw out bolt -1- and detach holder for senders -G200/-G202.

Removing and installing yaw rate sender -G202

• ‒ → Unscrew nuts -a- and detach yaw rate sender -G202 -Item 1-.
• ‒ When fitting, insert yaw rate sender -G202 in holder, align and screw on.

Notes:

• ◆ Yaw rate sender is sensitive to severe vibration.
• ◆ Proper operation is no longer guaranteed if sender has been dropped onto ground and sender is then no longer to be used.

Removing and installing lateral acceleration sender -G200

• ‒ → Use screwdriver to prise off mount -1- and detach lateral acceleration sender -G200 -Item 2-.

• ‒ → When fitting, insert lateral acceleration sender -G200 -Item 1- in holder.
• ‒ Installation position: Sloping side -arrow- of lateral acceleration sender -G200 must face mount -2-
• ‒ Slide mount over lateral acceleration sender -G200 until it is heard to engage.

Notes:

• ◆ Lateral acceleration sender is sensitive to severe vibration.
• ◆ Proper operation is no longer guaranteed if sender has been dropped onto ground and sender is then no longer to be used.

Installing

Perform further installation in reverse order, paying attention to the following:

• ‒ Start basic setting for lateral acceleration sender -G200/yaw rate sender -G202.
