Removing and installing air flow flap positioning motor -V71

A87-0125

Notes:

This positioning motor actuates the air flow flap and fresh/recirculated air flap.

  • ‒ Remove glove compartment.

=> Inner Body Assembly; Repair group 68

  • ‒ → Carefully unclip operating lever -A- (to air flow flap) using a screwdriver.

A87-0126
  • ‒ → Remove bolt -A-.
  • ‒ Detach connector -C-.
  • ‒ Turn positioning motor downward in direction of arrow and remove from the shaft for fresh-air/recirculated-air flap -B-.

Installation notes:

  • ◆ New positioning motors are delivered in the "recirculated air" position. For ease of installation, prior to installation connect the positioning motor to the vehicle electrical system and shift the operating lever in centre position (at the same time, switch on the ignition and change the position of the positioning motor by actuating the "recirculated air" button on the operating and display unit). In centre position the fresh/recirculated air flap is not in the end stop position, and the positioning motor can be installed more easily.

  • ◆ → First insert positioning motor in the shaft of the fresh/recirculation air flap -B-, then rotate in direction of arrow, ensuring that tab -D- sits correctly in slot -C-.
  • ◆ Always perform self-diagnosis of air conditioner following installation (=>Page 01-11).
  • ◆ Fit the wiring harness so that it cannot come into contact with moving parts (e.g. the positioning motor lever).
