Prerequisite

  • ◆ Fault memory interrogated.

Erasing fault memory

  • ‒ Press ⇒ key.
 
→ Indicated on display (function selection):
Rapid data transfer     HELP
Select function XX
  • ‒ Press keys -0- and -5- (05 selects the "Erase fault memory" function.)
 
→ Indicated on display:
Rapid data transfer    Q
05 - Erase fault memory
  • ‒ Press Q to confirm entry.
 
→ Display:
Rapid data transfer    Q
Fault memory is erased
  • ‒ Press the ⇒ key.
 
→ Indicated on display:
Rapid data transfer     HELP
Select function XX

Notes:
 
→ If the text below appears on the display, an error has occurred in the test sequence.
Important:
Fault memory has not been interrogated
  • ◆ Observe test sequence exactly:
    • ‒ Interrogate fault memory
    • ‒ Rectify any faults.
    • ‒ Delete fault memory.
  • ◆ The fault memory is not erased if, for example, the ignition was switched off between "Interrogating fault memory" and "Erase fault memory" (interrogate fault memory again).

    • End of output

    Note:

    The fault memory has been interrogated and erased, basic setting has been performed, and the encoding has been checked.

    • ‒ Press keys -0- and -6- (06 selects the "End output" function).
     
    → Indicated on display:

    06 - End of output
    • ‒ Press Q to confirm entry.

    Enter address word XX
    • ‒ Switch off ignition and detach diagnostic connector.
