Bleeding clutch system > < Removing and installing master cylinder
Removing and installing slave cylinder
Removing and installing slave cylinder
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Hose clamps, up to 25 mm -3094-
Removing
–  Remove noise insulation below engine/gearbox.
  W00-0079
–  Detach pipe/hose assembly from bracket on clutch slave cylinder.
–  Then remove bolts -arrows- and detach slave cylinder from release shaft on gearbox.
–  Using hose clamp -3094-, clamp off pipe/hose assembly going to slave cylinder.
–  Pull out clip → Item and then pull pipe/hose assembly out of slave cylinder. Seal end of pipe.
Installing
Installation is carried out in reverse sequence; note the following:
–  Press clip → Item into slave cylinder as far as stop.
–  Push hose/pipe assembly into clutch slave cylinder until it engages audibly.
–  Lubricate end of plunger with MoS2 grease.
–  Fit slave cylinder to release shaft and secure onto gearbox.
–  After installing slave cylinder, bleed clutch system → Chapter.
–  Install noise insulation below engine/gearbox.
Tightening torque
  A10-0168
Slave cylinder to gearbox25 Nm
