Pressing bushes out of selector rod

Pressing bushes into selector rod –  Coat bush lightly with grease and carefully press in collar of bush -arrow-.

Removing and installing relay lever and intermediate lever 1 -  Push on securing clip as far as stop. 2 -  Intermediate lever 3 -  Bearing bush; must engage in intermediate lever 4 -  Support bracket 5 -  Bearing bush; must engage in support bracket 6 -  Relay lever

From 08.98 onwards, new support bracket for relay lever and intermediate lever The new support bracket -1- is mounted in the rubber grommets -2- and bearing bushes -3-. 1 -  Support bracket with larger mounting holes for rubber grommets and bearing bushes 2 -  Rubber grommet 3 -  Bearing bush 4 -  Hexagon bolt M8 x 135 5 -  Hexagon nut M8; always renew after removing

Installing new support bracket on gearboxes up to 08.98 –  Make a 2.5 mm deep chamfer on gearbox -arrow-. t  Dimension -a- = 20 mm This prevents the coupling rods from contacting the gearbox when engaging 2nd and 4th gear.

Pressing out bush for selector rod

Pressing in bush for selector rod –  Coat bush lightly with grease and carefully press in collar of bush -arrow-.

Removing and installing relay shaft 1 -  Cap 2 -  Push on securing clip as far as stop. 3 -  Bearing bush 4 -  Ball; use screwdriver to press off; press on as far as stop 5 -  Mounting bracket 6 -  Relay lever
