Removing and installing over-centre spring (RHD vehicles)

Removing

  • ‒ Remove driver's storage compartment:

=> General body repairs, Interior; Repair group 68; Storage compartments, covers and trim parts; Removing and installing driver's storage compartment

  • ‒ Insert a screwdriver between the clutch pedal and the over-centre spring.
  • ‒ → Operate clutch pedal and lever over-centre spring off pedal in direction of arrow.

Installing

Installation is carried out in the reverse sequence, when doing this note the following:

  • ‒ Operate the clutch pedal.
  • ‒ Insert over-centre spring in the over-centre spring mounting and press into position on the locating lug on the clutch pedal.
