Dismantling and assembling „K1“ clutch housing

Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Fuel tank sender unit tool -3087-
The clutch should be dismantled only for cleaning. There is no provision for repairs.
Dismantling „K1“ clutch housing
–  Remove circlip for plates.
–  Remove plates.

–  Slowly and carefully press down piston cap just far enough so that the circlip can be removed.
–  Remove circlip.
–  Remove piston cap and spring.
–  Drive piston out of clutch housing.
–  To do this, gently strike the upper edge of the clutch housing with a plastic hammer.
Assembling „K1“ clutch housing
–  Carefully press piston by hand into clutch housing as far as stop.
–  Fit spring, piston cap and circlip in clutch housing.
–  Carefully centre piston cap before pressing it down.
–  Slowly and carefully press down piston cap just far enough so that the circlip can be installed.
–  Fit circlip.
–  Install plates.
–  Install circlip for plates.
